Message from HeadmistressPosted: Tuesday, 9 October 2012I am delighted to announce that our Deputy Headmistress, Mrs Anne Johnstone, has been appointed to the position of Principal of Seymour College, Adelaide from the beginning of January, 2013. Seymour College is a K-12 Uniting Church Girls' Day and Boarding School.
Although we are very proud of Anne's appointment to the role of Principal, we will be sad to see her leave St Catherine's. She has been a student, Prefect, English teacher and Head of Junior School during her many years at the school, and of course a wonderful Deputy Headmistress for the past three years. I have valued her intellect, insight, dedication, compassion, effervescent smile and friendship; she has made a significant contribution to the life and direction of the school.
The school community will have the opportunity to farewell Anne formally later in the term. In the meantime, we will be advertising for a Deputy Headmistress nationally over the coming weeks.
I attach a copy of the letter to the Seymour College community from the Chair announcing Anne's appointment.
Yours sincerely
Dr Julie Townsend
Headmistress

St Catherine's Ranks 44th in the State!Posted: Tuesday, 18 January 2011
St Catherine's Ranks 44th in the State!Posted: Tuesday, 18 January 2011We are absolutely delighted with our Class of 2010’s HSC results.
They are a group of girls who epitomise the values of St
Catherine’s: they worked hard, did their best and are wonderful
role models for the younger years. They also have a very strong sense of service to the community, with their leaving gift to the school being a pledge to pay for the education of three girls in Cambodia – the greatest gift you can give.
Their results are certainly well deserved.
The Sydney Morning Herald ranked St Catherine’s 44th in the state – a very good position for a genuinely non-selective school.
