Principal's Invitation
I warmly invite you to donate to the Lincoln College Annual Appeal projects for 2009.
Your generous contributions in the past have made some terrific projects possible, including the fit out of one of our new music rooms for semester 2 with music stands, and a new drum kit. Thank you for your previous contributions. This year we are asking you to consider 4 projects.
A place for study: Lincoln College is proud of its academic standing and to this end has set aside the KMB Academic Seminar room as a dedicated academic space. The College has given it a lick of paint and installed and air conditioner, but to really improve its academic use it is vital that we updated our learning tools such as whiteboards, screens and desks.
A place for friendship: A warmer atmosphere would do wonders for the Hambly Pool Room, both literally and figuratively. Curtains, a rug, some tables, and a new heater undoubtedly make the pool room the place to be. Being very social and appreciating a good meal, Lincolnites could really make good use of a BBQ Trailer to use at sporting events, Alumni events, and at any time when hospitality is on the menu!
A place like home: After a full year of renovation and construction in Abraham House and Federation House residents now have the opportunity to enjoy the end results! The College has provided the Federation Common Room with new leather lounges and a coffee table, and the Alumni Association raised some funds ($400) towards a television (yet to be purchased due to lack of funds). Common spaces are still without couches, televisions and tables. The College has managed to purchase blinds for all of the rooms but without your help we cannot afford to curtain the rooms as well.

We also strongly urge you to consider the ongoing need for Scholarships and Bursaries at Lincoln. This year we have already heard of students whose families have been affected by drought and by the economic crisis. The College would be very happy to talk to you about the possibility of naming rights for large donations. All donations to the College are tax deductable.
The residents at Lincoln are fortunate to have such a wonderful community behind them, and if you haven’t met any of them lately then take my word for it, the Alumni and Lincoln Community are lucky to have such a wonderful group of current residents!
